Flagstone Project In Progress

This weekend, I finally (yes I've been talking about this for 4 years!!) started laying flagstone in our front yard where our sidewalk meets the driveway. We didn't finish because I didn't get quite enough, but I thought I would share it with you anyway.

We have several more pieces to put in, plus the edging and then we have polymeric sand for the joints. So far, I'm loving the look of it! It is going to be so nice to be able to get in and out of the car in the mornings without having to walk on the wet grass.

Here's what it looked like on before we started -

And here are few more shots as the project progressed -

I can't wait to finish it. Check back next Sunday or maybe Monday, to see the finished project. We are weekend warriors, so we can't get it done until the weekend. Wouldn't matter anyway, since I'm completely exhausted from digging all that grass up, hauling the stones and paver base, and setting all the stones.

Wishing everyone a Wonderful Week!

  1. This is a pretty idea. I think it would look pretty with bricks or natural colored flagstone also. Thanks for posting this for inspiration.
