Angel Pictures

For those of you that don't know me, I'm a fairly weird person - those of you that do know me will agree!!  This post proves it beyond the shadow of a doubt.

Ok, here's the scoop -

I have CEMETERY pictures in my bedroom!!!!

Yes, that's right - Cemetery pictures of Angels overlooking our bed!  Hmmm....there's all kinds of bad jokes you can make about that comment.

Ok, I admit it, I love old cemeteries, especially the beautiful angels.  Take a look and let me know what you think -

Ok, really, it's not that weird, is it?  I've always loved visiting old cemeteries and my Dad is buried in a historic cemetery here in Crosby.

This picture is from a cemetery in La Grange, Texas.

These next two were taken by my Mother-In-Law at Glenwood Cemetery in Houston.
Howard Hughes is buried here and it is absolutely beautiful.

Thought I would share the actual pictures with you - just in case you are weird like me!!!!

Feel free to print out these pictures for your Bedroom too!!!

Really, it's not too weird, is it? Hmm.....

Have a great weekend!

    1. That's what I think too! I like to think they are watching over me at night.

Now I lay me down to sleep, Angels watch me as I sleep.

  2. No it's not weird at all! I love cemeteries! As a landscape designer, I love going to look at their landscaping. Not to mention the history there! When I lived in PA, I drove by a cemetery that had "Revolutionary War Cemetery" and that stopped me in my tracks!!!! I couldn't help but stop and wander through wondering about all the souls there!

Cemeteries are creepy at night, though!

Thanks for sharing the lovely pictures!!

    1. That's a relief! You can tell, I've been worried about that! I have pictures of a cemetery in Galveston in the early springtime with all the flowers in bloom and it is just gorgeous! Thanks for stopping by.

  5. Totally not weird. There is a cemetery here in my town and all of the angels face to the east. I just have to get there early enough in the morning to get the good light. Sigh.....really early.....but I want those photos. I think they're beautiful. Love your photos, they look so old and weathered.

    1. I would love to see them. If you are like me, it might be easier just to stay up all night so that you can get there in time! Mornings are just not my thing....ask my family!

  6. Glenwood is indeed a fascinating place. When I saw the thumbnail of your entry at Funky Junk it was the first thing that sprang to mind. There is a professional photographer who sells similar prints and they're considered art. So my answer is no, not weird at all. They look good.

    1. I feel so much better now that all my blog friends have assured me that I'm only a little bit weird! Not sure that I agree with them, but hey, we all have a weird side - right?

Thanks for dropping by to see us!

  9. The Angel photos are really pretty so no it's not weird. I'll have to see what I have from when I went to Savanah, GA. I don't think I have any Angels though. My book club took a field trip there after reading the book "In the Garden of Good and Evil". We had to go visit the cemetery that was in the book. ;o)
